We are so excited to share this month’s adventures, milestones, and special moments from our nursery and kindergarten. From creative crafts and outdoor explorations to songs, stories, and smiles, our children have been busy learning and growing every day. In this edition, you will find updates from each class, upcoming events, reminders for parents, and a few snapshots of the wonderful world your children are creating with us.
Thank you for being such an important part of our community. Together, we make every day a little brighter!
NDNA Award
We are very proud to be internationally recognised as outstanding by the National Day Nursery Association (NDNA). Annabel's Early Years International Kindergarten has been awarded NDNA’s highest accreditation - the Quality Counts Platinum Award in recognition of excellence across the school in 2024. We are proud to be one of only two nurseries in Bangkok to receive this prestigious distinction.

Being part of the NDNA community reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care, inspiring learning experiences, and strong partnerships with families. These are values that help our children here in Bangkok grow, learn, and thrive.
Curriculum Mornings
Our Curriculum Mornings for each class took place from 30th September to 15th October and went incredibly well! Parents had the opportunity to see firsthand how our children learn and engage and how we use the British curriculum and inspiration of Reggio Emilia approach here at Annabel’s.

They were wonderful sessions where we explored the learning processes and discussed how parents can support their child's development at home.
International Day!
We are still buzzing with joy from our International Day celebration! What a wonderful day it was filled with colour, music, laughter, and learning as we explored the many cultures that make up our community.
A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing parents and families who contributed so much, whether by sharing delicious food, traditional clothing, music, stories, or simply joining in the festivities with enthusiasm. Your participation made the day truly special and meaningful for the children.
We would also like to extend a big thank you to our dedicated staff team, who worked so hard to prepare decorations, organise activities, and help the children learn about different countries and traditions in such creative ways.
The children had a fantastic time travelling “around the world” through songs, crafts, and games. It was wonderful to see them so proud to share and celebrate their own heritage and that of their friends.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make International Day such a joyful and memorable experience. We are so lucky to be part of such a vibrant, diverse, and supportive community!

A Big Thank You to our Crafty Handymen

Behind every beautiful backdrop at our International Day were the steady hands and big hearts of our amazing handymen, P’Teng, P’Dam, and P’Beng.
From the bright red London bus and the serene beaches of the Maldives to the soaring temples of Asia, to the sweet panda from China and even our playful cut-outs of Pikachu and kangaroo and every piece was lovingly designed and hand-painted by them. Their creativity, teamwork, and dedication brought our “world tour” to life and filled our garden with colour and joy.
Thank you for building new toys and equipment for the garden, painting murals, taking care of our school grounds, directing traffic, and always greeting everyone with a warm smile.
We are so grateful for their hard work and artistry every day and especially during events. They truly make Annabel’s shine! Thank you!
Reggio Emilia Workshop
Teacher Kamila shared her passion and knowledge with parents and staff about Reggio Emilia here at Annabel’s. It was an amazing opportunity to see and experience our Ateliarista first hand.
Kamila provided valuable insights into the Reggio Emilia approach and led to a wonderful Paper Workshop. It was fascinating to see how paper exists in so many shapes, grains, colours, and textures. With its extraordinary flexibility and transformative nature, paper is both fragile and resilient. It folds and creases, is pliable in our hands, and transforms from a simple two-dimensional sheet into something capable of expressing complex, three-dimensional ideas and gestures. All of this added beautifully to the spirit of creativity and discovery.
We were reminded of what the children show us every day: that discovery begins when the material starts to “speak back.”
By the end of the workshop, the tables were filled with paper creations, but also laughter and ease and the same kind of joy we often witness when children realise they are free to explore, not expected to perform. It was truly an inspiring and memorable morning.
